    Insanely Simple – Simplicity is the Most Powerful Weapon In Advertising

    Apple’s stellar success will be studied for decades to come. It’s a story of great vision, design, engineering and marketing. But on a higher level, there is a common thread that ties together all of these strengths — Steve Jobs’ love of simplicity. That’s something you can see in the way everything Apple does, from the way it innovates to the way it communicates. With a mix of insights and stories from inside Steve Jobs’ world, Ken talks about how Apple succeeded through the power of simplicity—and how any marketer can do the same.

    Ken Segall is the author of the New York Times Best Seller Insanely Simple: The Obsession That Drives Apple’s Success. As an advertising creative director, he worked closely with Steve Jobs for over 12 years spanning NeXT and Apple. Ken led the team that created Apple’s famous Think different campaign, sent Apple down the i-road by naming the iMac.

    The event will be held at Tropicana Convention Center in the Walnut Rooms. Doors will open at 11:30 for networking, with the presentation beginning at noon.

    The deadline to register for this event is Wednesday, January 14 .
    We ask that any cancellations be made by 1/15 as we are charged for meals (members and nonmembers) after that date.

  • October 3, 2014 - The 2015 National Student Advertising Competition will pit hundreds of collegiate teams against one another as they develop a written integrated marketing campaign proposal and a corresponding 20-minute pitch in response to a real-world case study for Pizza Hut.   • October 3, 2014 - We launched a new public service initiative this year. The intiative seeks to get our members involved in cause around the community by donating time as a group. Our first volunteer effort focused on the Race for the Cure last weekend. As a group, we dedicated 63 hours of our time to the Race for the Cure, and we had a lot of fun in the process. - We plan to coordinate service projects each quarter.
