On Friday, February 24th, marketing and advertising professionals gathered at Carter Hall, University of Southern Indiana for the 2017 American Advertising Awards dinner and reception.
The annual awards ceremony honored creative work and the people that contribute tirelessly to the industry each year. There were 17 Gold ADDYS and 25 Silver ADDYS awarded. Wavelength Films’ brought home the Best of Show for the 3rd year in a row, with “Laudo Drums” commercial. Wavelength also earned a Judge’s Choice (“Through The Years” commercial) and several Gold and Silver ADDYS. Two other Judge’s Choice awards went to Field & Main Bank (Brochure) and Matt Wagner Design (“WELD” packaging). Fathead Media won the People’s Choice award with “Darkness” internet commercial.

Congratulations to Matt Wagner for earning the Silver Medal Award for his contributions to the industry. The Celebrating People Award winners were the Evansville Courier & Press’ Dianne Kowaleski for Account Executive of the Year; Kim Wangler for Media Strategist of the Year from Ten Adams and Dave Docimo from Wavelength Films as Creative Person of the Year.
