This Associate Graphic Design position will produce visual solutions for packaging, communication, sales, and marketing for our business partners using creative skills, market awareness, and knowledge of current trends. The selected Associate Graphic Designer will assist the team through development of marketing creative across a full range of media, packaging design/mock-up, photography, illustration, digital publishing, and other related design services and functions.


  • Ability to communicate with business partners and organize information needed to complete projects.

  • Develop creative and innovative concepts based on understanding of goals and research.

  • Illustrate concepts by designing layout of art and copy elements based on print production process used.

  • Prepare and submit all final concepts for approvals and revision/redesign as needed.

  • Utilize a wide range of media, including photography and computer aided design.

  • Complete large scale projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.

  • Balance multiple projects in a deadline based environment.

  • Knowledge and understanding to execute brand standards and corporate image in designs.

  • Understanding of material costs, print processes, and time limits.

  • Contribute to the team by accomplishing results and goals as needed.

  • Must be able to work well with a team and independently.


  • Degree in Graphics Arts and/or Visual Communications or equivalent in work experience

  • 0–3 years work experience.

  • Understand project direction.

  • Maintain artwork and due dates as assigned by the manager.

  • Design and produce designs or mock-ups for packaging, sales, and marketing.

  • Ability to take basic photography.

  • Produce digital and printed proofs.

  • Follow up on jobs that are “out for approval”.

  • Keep digital files organized according to procedure.

  • Basic knowledge of design related equipment such as printers, scanners, cameras etc.

  • Assist other designers as needed.

  • Consistently meet acceptable standard of quality and productivity.

  • Attend and participate in team/department meetings.

  • Demonstrate a teamwork attitude.

  • Maintain good housekeeping.

  • Abide by company attendance policy.

  • Must consistently perform some or all of the duties of a Graphic Designer/Level Two for a period of 16 to 36 months before a promotion to the next level is considered.

  • Highly creative.

  • Professional verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent work ethic and ability to maintain confidential information.

  • Able learn and operate a large format printer (Can lift 30lbs.).

  • Layout skills, creative thinking, customer focus, flexibility, and attention to detail required.

  • Experience with Mac OSX, Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.

  • Social media, web experience, and digital publishing a plus.

  • Color vision within normal limits.

  • Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and a minimal near vision ability to read 10-12 point type at a distance of 12-18 inches.
