Congratulations to Kristin Tucker, the winner of the 2019 Silver Medal Award.
Kristen Tucker started Tucker Publishing Group with her husband Todd Tucker in 1999 and has served as publisher and editor for 20 years. Kristen has more than 30 years experience in journalism, public relations, and marketing. Prior to starting Tucker Publishing Group, Tucker worked for the advertising and public relations business Keller Crescent Co. and later for Hilliard Lyons and Old National Bank.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and English from Western Kentucky University and a master’s degree in liberal studies from the University of Southern Indiana. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Kristen moved with her family to Evansville, her father’s hometown, in 1971. She attended Caze Elementary School, and Castle Junior and Castle Senior High Schools in Newburgh, Indiana.
Kristen serves on the board of directors of the The Catholic Foundation of Evansville, the Board of Advisors for the Indiana University Medical School-Evansville, and is a member of Indiana Landmarks Alumnae Braintrust organization. In 2007, she helped to found the Women’s Fund of Vanderburgh County. She also is a member of the 115 year-old Social Literary Club. Kristen is the 2003 Athena Award recipient and the 2006 recipient of the Indiana Commission for Women’s Torchbearer Award and the recipient of the 2019 Silver Medal Award for a lifetime achievement in advertising. Tucker Publishing Group magazines have won dozens of awards through the years from the City & Regional Magazine Association, the Advertising Federation of Evansville, the Evansville Design Group, and the Indiana Society of Professional Journalists.
